DS90CF364A: DS90CF364A

Part Number: DS90CF364A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: FLINK3V8BT-85, SN65LVDS822

Hi Team,

My customer thinking using DS90CF364A in a new design.

I need some kind of user manual to see the:

  • Configuration  options
  • Option to use only 2 LVDS lines as input
  • LVDS input minimal voltage levels
  • Connection to LCD application example

They intend to use this bridge between Toshiba TC358774XBG (MIPI to 1.8v LVDS output bridge)  to their 2” Screen [MTF-TQ020SN1831-LB]

Can you support for the integration?

Does TI have evaluation board? I didn't found.

Thanks,

Shlomi

  • Hello Shlomi,

All relevant information for configuring the part should be available in the datasheet here: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ds90cf364a.pdf

There is no such mode as 2 lane LVDS. This part follows the TIA/EIA-644 LVDS Standard which defines either 3 lane or 4 lane modes (18bpp or 24bpp). For connection to the LCD, please match the TXOUT0-17 pins to the DB0-17 pins on the LCD. It would also be good to confirm with the panel vendor which DB pins correspond to which R/G/B values since I do not see it explicitly listed in the panel spec. That way you can also confirm that the right color value mappings are being used end to end.

Here is the EVM kit page: ti.com/tool/FLINK3V8BT-85

    Best Regards,

    Casey

  • You can also take a look at the SN65LVDS822 for an option to use 2 lane LVDS (reference page 21 of the datasheet).
