TCAN4550-Q1: Partial networking wake up at the user defined ID address ?

Hi Champs,

My automotive customer is evaluating TCAN4550-Q1 for CAN FD communication.

They want know if it can support partial networking wake up function than can wake up from sleep mode just at the user defined selective ID address.

Is it possible?

    Hi Steve,

    Unfortunately the TCAN4550-Q1 does not support partial networking.  Is partial networking their primary interest in a CAN FD transceiver?  If so we have a new device in development that will be available soon called the TCAN1145-Q1.  You can find a preview datasheet on TI.com.

    The TCAN4550-Q1 is a bit different than most transceivers because of the integrated controller and SPI interface with the MCU.  If they need these features in addition to Partial Networking, then I don't currently know of a device currently in development that meets all criteria to recommend at this time.
