Hi Taishi,
Please review the system rollover between the TLK105 and DP83822. This document explains the difference between the two.

Hi Cecilia,
Thank you for an answer.
For the power consumption of TLK105 and DP83822I under the following conditions,
Let me check if it is correct in the excerpted part.
If my understanding is correct, is the total power consumption of TLK105L 276 mW?
1. Active Power
2. Single Supply Operation
3. 100Base-TX
■TLK105L
■DP83822I
Thanks,
Taishi
Hi Taishi,
The highlighted portions you've selected for both devices are correct for the total power.
Thanks,
Cecilia
Hi Cecilia,
Is DP83822I register compatible with TLK105LRHB?
Does DP83822I behavior the same as TLK105LRHB without changing SYSBIOS?
Thanks,
Taishi
Hi Taishi,
Yes the DP83822 is register compatible with the TLK105. It is pin to pin compatible and is a drop in replacement for both HW and SW. So no changes need to be made except for our recommendations in the application note I referred to you above.
Thank you!
Cecilia
Hi Cecilia
Thank you for an answer.
Which page contains application note recommendations?
Thank you!
Taishi
Please refer to 2 Section 3. DP83822 Replacement of TLK105, TLK106, TLK105L and TLK106L
Thanks,
Cecilia
Hi Taishi,
Thank you for pointing this out. Pin-wise they should be similar for replacement however, registers may have a slight difference. I can follow up on this register specifically to see if this is a clerical error.
Thanks,
Cecilia
Hi Taishi,
Thank you for your patience. I have just spoke to my team about the differences. It looks to be that the TLK105 has the SAME FUNCTIONALITY and PINOUT as the compared device but is NOT an exact equivalent. I had mispoke about being software compatible and I apologize for the confusion.
As you pointed out, there are some register differences which are not clerical errors. Both the devices may have different register configurations.
Thanks,
Cecilia
Hi Cecilia,
Thank you for your confirmation.
I understood that it is not compatible.
However, when replacing TLK 105,
I need to know which registers are different.
If there are any other incompatible registers, please clarify the difference and let me know.
Thanks,
Taishi
Hi Taishi,
I do not believe we have a compiled list of the register differences. You will have to cross check between register maps. Is there specific registers your need to know if they are different?
Thanks,
Cecilia
Hi Cecilia,
I only know the registers listed above.
I have not checked other registers.
Could you make a register difference list?
Thanks,
Taishi
Hi Taishi,
This could be an application note that I can propose to our team. However, at this time do not have a difference list.
Thanks,
Cecilia
Hi Cecilia,
Thank you for an answer.
When can you answer the difference?
My desired answer is April 24.
Thanks,
Taishi
Hello Taishi,
We do not have the bandwidth at this moment to go through the entire device register map and highlight all the differences of each bit. However, if you have specific registers that you are concerned about we can kindly take a look at those registers and ensure they have not changed.
