Hi,

I would like to have some information regarding which computer software could be used to control the MC285SPD-L0B0 (em-ccd) camera using the rs-232 interface.

If no software is available, I would like to know if there is a reference document on the camera rs232 commands to write my own software.

Please note that the camera has been discontinued.

As you noted, this device was obsoleted before. We do not have the information what you are looking for.

The camera is not obselete, it has been discontinued. I think it's fair to say that it's not the same thing.

I have to admit that I'm a little bit disappointed considering the price(30k) of the camera when it was still available for sale. I would have expected that such an expensive device would have longer support lifecycle(I think it has been discontinued around 2010?).

So there is no documentation at all? Any idea if it was using a proprietary rs-232 protocol ?
