Alternative to RS422 from Maxim

Hello team,

my customer is planning to use the MAX14890E from Maxim:

The board they're designing is related to the reading of the incremental encoders. In particular they will have to read voltage levels for TTL, HTL and RS422 encoders.
An example of an IC that could be right for them is the Maxim MAX14890E.
The two auxiliary digital inputs on Maxim's IC are interesting for homing / limit switches in motion control applications.

They only need the interface with the encoder since the microcontroller has already been chosen for uniformity with the other boards.

Could you please let me know if we have any alternative to propose?

    Adrian,

    Unfortunately TI doesn't have pin-to-pin part for MAX14890E (due to the lack of single inputs). For differential RS422 channels, you can consider quadruple receivers like SN65LBC173A.
