TUSB3410: 15 kOhm resistor on DP/DN

Part Number: TUSB3410

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out the correct passive components on the DP/DN lines between the TUSB3410 and a type-B USB port.

Figure 5-10 shows 2x 15kOhm pull-down resistors:

Figure 6-3 shows a series 33 Ohm resistor with a 22pF capacitor to ground.

The EVM would seem to agree with figure 6-3 as well:

Which implementation is correct?

Don

  • Hi Donald,

The datasheet image is showing in internal termination for TUSB3410. The passive components, series 33 Ohm resistor with a 22pF capacitor to ground, are implemented as a form of edge control to help with signal integrity issue in some applications. I recommend implementing these passive components.
