ONET8501P: Using Onet8501P as single ended device

Dear TI,


my First Question is:

is the differential input realy like in the blockchart with 100Ohm terminated or is there a CML logic with both 50Ohm to VCC?


my second question:

Can I use the ONET with a single ended 50 Ohm matched input?

If yes, what todo with the other input, 50Ohm to VCC?

    Hi Jim,

    1). There is actually two 50-ohm resistors in series. Center tap of these two resistors go to an internal supply.

    2). All the characterization and validation have been done through differential interface. So the recommendation is to use the device differentially.
