Hi all,
I have TPS65987EVM in original configuration, and I see following: TPS65987D reads the SPI memory only at power on, not when I press the "S2 PD Reset" button on EVM. Is this ok?
Thanks,
Sergey
Hi,
Yes, this is expected behavior. PD controller wont erase RAM content during HRESET. So, it will boot from RAM next time, instead of SPI flash.

Hi Prajith,
That means in case when PD started with default configuration and we programmed the SPI NOR, we cant start PD from SPI NOR without power cycle? S. TPS65987D: Using default configuration to boot Linux system from USB stick - Interface forum - Interface...
Thanks,

Hi,
Please find boot flow in page 12 of http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva972a/slva972a.pdf.
PD controller will not boot from SPI flash if it finds valid patch bundle on SRAM.
Thanks
