My customer meet some strange issue of DP83640, could you help to share some comments on it:
Customer has two type of PCBA(Board A and Board B), and both use DP83640, circuit is almost same(only except IO power and MAC, Board A is 3.3V, MAC is MPC5125, Board B is 2.5V, MAC is use FPGA`s IP core).
But quite strange issue happens:
Board A works quite good: two board A can communicate good by direct connection, and can also work good to use switch as connection.
But two Board B can only communicate by switch connection, if use two board B connect directly(no matter RX to TX and TX to RX, or RX to RX and TX to TX), the communicate has big issue, even one of board B send hundreds of time, another board can only get the data for several times. But each of these two board B can communicate good with PC.
Below are register data of DP83640, we can found that when issue happens, register 20 will increase to FF quickly.
