DP83867CS: Clock oscillator selection

Part Number: DP83867CS

I picked out a MEMs oscillator which meets the electrical specifications listed in the Applications section of the datasheet. I was just curious if I should be using a MEMs oscillator or a standard crystal oscillator? I am designing for a SGMII interface 1000baseT.

Hi Sara,

This should be ok, please review section 9.2.1.2 of the datasheet to ensure proper implementation. If you are using a 3.3V or 2.5V clock source, clock divider capacitors are necessary.
