DP83TC811S-Q1: SQI Register for 811

Hi team,

Customer is using 811S-Q1 in their system, and was able to PING.

But the read back value for register 0x198, SQI Register, is 0x0010, which means NO LINK status, SQI also low.

Could you please help to check why?

Register 1 indicates that link is being established. There may be a problem with extended register access, how are you accessing extended registers? Can you please read back register 133?

0x133 register read back value is 0x0.

They just directly read the register, no specific accessing process, same with reading 0x0/01 register.

Is there process requirement for reading register 0x198?

Hi Fery,

Register 1 and 133 show conflicting information for link status. I suspect there may be an issue with the extended register access. Please review section 8.4.16 of the datasheet for correct implementation of extended register access.
