ONET1151L: Is there a start-up procedure recommended?

I'm using ONET1151L. So far I write all the registers at once, but I wonder if there is a procedure to prevent, for example, having a modulation current temporarily greater than the bias so the laser may be reverse-biased for a few cycles and affect in the long term.
