DS80PCI402: if it can be used for x 8 PCIe with two chips

Part Number: DS80PCI402

hi,

We know DS80PCI402 is ideal for x4 PCI-Express,but if it can be used for x 8 PCIe with two chips? & Why?

  • Hi Lifang,

The DS80PCI402 or any of our other DS80PCIxxx devices can be used together in wider PCIe x8 or x16 link widths.

Each channel of these devices detects a valid Rx Termination independently which allows for flexibility when the system configures the PCIe link.  Otherwise these redrivers are unaware of the underlying PCIe protocol.

    Regards,
