TUSB8041A: Customer asks how to evaluate TUSB8041AEVM board

Hi

The customer got TUSB8041A EVM board but I didn't know how to output waveforms for measurement.

Do we have any guidelines or videos to guide our the customer?

    Hi Paul,

    The USB compliance testing procedures are defined in the USB specifications and are not specific to the TI devices.

    For USB 2.0, the XHCI HSETT tool is needed to send the commands to the hub to send out test packets.

    For USB 3.0, the XHCI HSETT tool is needed to enable compliance mode on the downstream ports.

    All electrical testing requires special test fixtures available from the USB-IF or test equipment manufacturers.  The XHCI HSETT tool can be downloaded from usb.org.
