Hello expert,

I have asked on this E2E thread regarding I2C clock stretch.
Then I have new question regarding above.

This device could support I2C clock stretch.
So I'd like to know about how long can this device support clock stretch.
Would you tell me it?

I think this device doesn't have limitation regarding clock stretch time limitation if this completely follow I2C specification. Because, I2C specification doesn't has limitation regarding clock stretch as far as I know.

Hi Kazuki,

The DS80PCI102 can work with SMBus Master devices which use clock stretch. When the DS80PCI102 is the SMBus master it will not typically utilize clock stretch.

Hi Lee,

I'd like to confirm about below points.

I think this device could support electric specification of SMBus. However timing specification(including time out) is comply with I2C when it is SMBus slave.
So this device could support long wait time between Reg addr and write data.
Is this correct?

Also how long clock stretch could this device support?
I think there is no limitation if above my assumption is correct.
