DP83869HM: Auto Negotiation Fiber mode

Hello,

 

I have some questions regarding the Auto Negotiation in Media Converter mode (fiber mode):

  1. In table 18, there is a Fiber Auto Negotiation mode and a Fiber Force mode. The Auto-negotiation system of DP8389HM is it the same as defined in Clause 37 of the IEEE 802.3 standard? That is, does the Fiber Auto Negotiation correspond to Clause 37 enable and Fiber Force Mode to Clause 37 disabled?
  2. Will it be possible to establish a link between a unit that has Fiber Auto Negotiation enabled, while the second unit has Fiber Force Mode? Can the first unit actively configure itself to handle Fiber Force Mode?
