TPS65987D: TPS65987D dynamic adaption of output power during runtime

Part Number: TPS65987D

Hello,

is it possible to dynamically regulate output power for USB PD during runtime by the I2C interface?

I would like to measure the internal adapter temperature and reduce the output power if over-temperature is detected.

The degradation could be to reached to switch for example from 20V-3A to 5V-3A output.

Another approach could be to adapt the firmware of the TPS65987D to directly measure a NTC voltage by an ADC input without host controller and manage power degradation internally.

Is this generally possible or do you see any other way to adapt the output power depending on internal temperature measurement?

Thank you for your support
