DS90UB936-Q1: Adaptive EQ settings

Hi Team,

936 has adaptive EQ settings, may I know:

1. How to read the value of EQ? Can it be read through EQ_STATUS register? If so, the EQ has only 16 different settings while the EQ_STATUS has 6 bits(equal to 64 settings), how to calculate the settings with the value in EQ_STATUS?

2. How to set the pre-set floor? Which register should be set?

3. Can the EQ be set by customers rather than 936 itself?

Hello Hao,

1) Yes, this can be read in Reg 0xD3[5:0].

These are two stages, each stage has 3-bits. [2:0] and [5:3].

2) In reg 0xD2[2].

3) You can use any I2C Master to set the EQ, if you disable Adaptive Equilizer (AEQ) in reg 0xD4[0]
