Is the resolution same as DS90UB941AS-Q1 ?

DS90UB940N-Q1 says

In backward compatible mode, the device supports up to WXGA and 720p resolutions with 24-bit color depth over a single differential link.

What is backward compatible mode? Does DS90UB940N support the same resolution with DS90UB941AS-Q1 ?

    Hello Ochi,

    940N and 941AS "backwards compatibility" is referring to connection with a DS90Ux92x-Q1 serializer or deserializer device. 

    DS90UB941AS-Q1 supports PCLK up to 170MHz when paired with the DS90UB940N-Q1 which is the maximum PCLK for 940N.
