DS90UB948-Q1: Whether I could read 948's status(PDB/LOCK/PASS) through 947 without MCU and GPIO

Hi Team,

My customer don't want to add MCU in 948 side in order to cost down. And GPIO[0:3] are also used.

Without MCU in 948 side, is it possible to read 948's status (PDB/LOCK/PASS) through 947?

The question can also be described as how to read 948's PDB/LOCK/ Pass status through 947, since 948 has no external MCU?

    Hello Amelie,

    If the SER/DES pair is unlocked then you would not be able to read anything through the back channel. That goes for LOCK and PASS. PDB is a reset for the device so if PDB is low then the device will not function at all either.
