TUSB1064: Source device that can output 4K60p image data on 2 lanes

Hi team,

Customer is considering to use TUSB1064 for type-c DP altenate mode sink. Customer needs to receive 4K60p image data through DP alternate mode lane.

If there are DP alternate mode source in the market that can output 4K60p image data on two lanes, they wants to use two lane for DP alternate mode lane and two lane for USB SS. If there are no such a source device in the market, they will use HD3SS460 and use 4 lanes for DP alternate mode.

Have you ever heard of such a source device that can output 4K60p data on two lanes?

    If only 2 DP lanes are to be used, then you would need a source that supports DP1.4 or HBR3. If the source only supports up to HBR2, then all 4 DP lanes will be used to support 4K@60. 

    TUSB1064 supports both 2 or 4 DP lane alt mode, why do you need HD3SS460?
