TUSB217-Q1: other setting values

Part Number: TUSB217-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB217

Hi Team,

In TUSB217, I2C Settings in page 10,11 of TUSB217-Q1 USB High Speed Signal Conditioner datasheet (Rev. A) there is a table with different register values of RX_SEN, DC_BOOST, EDGE_BOOST. Each setting shows between 3 and 4 settings. However, each setting can accept a wider range of values than publshed.

Eg. in TUSB217-Q1 USB High Speed Signal Conditioner datasheet (Rev. A) page 10,11:

XXXXb (sampled at startup from BOOST pin)
0000b to 1111b range
0x0 = BOOST PIN LEVEL 0 (lowest dc boost setting)
0x2 = BOOST PIN LEVEL 1 and 2
0x6 = BOOST PIN LEVEL 3
0xF = (highest dc boost setting)

Setting its value to, say 0x7 , will it set a higher DC BOOST than 0x6 or will the TUSB217 round to nearest to 0x6?

This same question applies to RX_SEN and EDGE_BOOST.

Many thanks
