TFP401: How to use EXT_RES and CTL[3:1] pins of TFP401 ?

Hello,

I have two questions about following pins.

1. What is purpose of CTL[3:1]?

I read out the datasheet, but i'm quite not sure

2. In what is case should I connect the resistor?

The datasheet shows that Internal impedance matching. But this device optimized the characteristic impedance.

I'm not sure how to treat EXT_RES pins.

Can you help this?

Hi Mamoru-san,

1. CTL[3:1] are general purpose control signals used for user-defined control.

2. You can just leave this pin unconnected.

Hi Mamoru,

1. They're general purpose outputs, so if the user has something on their panel they want to control with their source, they can use these pins.

2. You don't need to do anything with this pin except leave it unconnected
