ONET1141L: ONET1141L with grounded anode laser

Is it possible to use the ONET1141L to bias a grounded anode laser?

The laser for my project has the chassis connected to the laser anode and a K connector for the modulation input. I would like to keep the anode/chassis grounded so I can interface with the K connector without worrying about shorting anything.

I was thinking about trying to use the ONET1141L with Vcc = 0 and GND = -3.3 V and set BIASPOL = 1 to sink current.

Hi Tannis,

ONET1141L has not been characterized or evaluated with grounded laser anode. It's been characterized with grounded cathode. Therefor the operation is not guaranteed with grounded anode configuration.
