Part Number: DS90UB953A-Q1

Hi team,

Could you help provide a solution with SONY sensor in below?

Sony IMX307, 1920x1080 12-bit raw data, 30fps HDR-2exp (=60fps)

Not sure DS90UB935 or DS90UB953A is more suitable.

Also, SERDES has to work at Synchronous Mode?

Hello Zoe,

for this settings you will be getting ~ 1Gbps of CSI-2 video data. The 935 is suiting your design.

Thanks for your explanation.

But the CSI-2 data should be 1920x1080x12-bitx60fps ~= 1.5Gbps, please check again should we use TI953?

The following from TI WEB Site showed TI935 is for 1MP 60fps, and TI953 is for 2MP 60fps. Thanks!

Hello Jackie,

the 935 can support a CSI-2 data rate of max ~2.5 Gbps, which is larger than the datarate you have (1.5Gbps).

Yes, you can use the 935 for this application.

Hi Hamzeh,

Our RD continued to have concerns about the total data rate.

If possible, could you help to check the total data rate include the video payload data, I2C forward channel data, CRC
information, framing information, and information regarding the state of the CSI-2 interface?

Or someone already used the same solution?

Hello Jackie,

935 is suitable 100% for the data rate you shared with me. But if your team is not comfortable with this solution, of course they can use the 953.
