Hi Team.

May I ask whether MDI could support BR+ and BR- SHORT TO GND diagnostics?

Since I found there are MDI OPEN or MDI BR+ short to BR- diagnostics, but don’t find MDI short to GND diagnostics.

Could you please help to check whether 811S could support MDI short to GND Diagnostics? If yes, which register belongs to?

You mentioned that you found MDI BR+ short to BR- diagnostics. Where exactly did you find this item?

For MDI Short please use Register 0x016B TDR Results Register. This will give you a SHORT or OPEN fault.

Sure, I also notice 0x16B. This SHORT Fault means BR+ short to BR- or BR+/BR- short to GND?

My concern is I don't understand the type of short this register mentioned.

Hi Amelie,

The short fault mentioned in that register is the fault for MDI short to GND.
