Hello, I am working to the transfer over telnet of a large quantity of data between workstation and my application with DP83822IRHBR as phys layer.
The handshake between the two parties is built upon chunks of 256 bytes. following the chunk reception an ack is sent back to the WS in order to enable the transmission of next chunk.
I did some benchmarking and what I see is that we wait in average 102mS between two successive chunks, it seems too much.
Is there a way to assess the quality of the physical link (e.g some indication within the device's Status register )?
