CAN trx non isolated 3.3V and isolated for e-mobility

Hi,

My customer is looking for CAN trx 3.3V for e-mobility project.

speed max 1Mbps, no FD, Fault tolerant, the higher the better even though not primary concern. Application is cost sensitive.

Supply 3.3V.

I am looking for p2p CAN trx as below table

	Non isolated	Isolated version
Pinout	The same for the 2 versions	The same for the 2 versions
Alimentazione	3,3V	3,3V logic side and self supplied bus side

Do you have any recommendations?

Antonio,

The highest fault protection we have for 3.3V CAN is +/-36V in our SN65HVD234/235/236 devices. These work up to 1Mbps, and are pin-to-pin compatible with all other 8-pin CAN transceivers with varying features on pins 5 and 8. Is this what you are looking for, or are you also looking for recommendations on isolated devices?

Yes thanks, I am now looking for isolated devices that can be p2p with what you just suggested SN65HVD234/235/236 devices.

Antonio,

The closest released isolated CAN transceiver to pin to pin compatibility we have is the ISO1050, but that is still not fully p2p. And it is a 5V transceiver rather than a 3.3V. We don't currently have any 3.3V isolated CAN transceivers available, but there are isolated transceivers that support 3.3V IO.

Ok thanks I was indeed thinking of some iso trx like ISO77xx or ISO7041 or ISOW7841 to anticipate the non iso CAN trx 3.3V.
