DS90UB949-Q1: Whether HDMI's audio signal could be pass through from 949 to 926/928

Hi Team,

Since HDMI itself could transfer audio signal, if we use 949 and 926, whether the audio signal in HDMI could pass through from 949 and 926? 

If yes, how could we restore the HDMI signal in 926 side?

    Hi Amelie,

    Yes, 949 can pass HDMI audio to 926. However, for 926, the audio can only be 2 channels when video is in 24bits format. 

    On 926, the audio will come out on the I2S pins.

    Please check 949 datasheet Audio Modes sections and 926 datasheet I2S Receiving section.
