Dears

If without the MAC, does to possible to have some test with the EVM? like use the computer to connect to the PHY and test the WOL function? 

how about the USB port function?

    Hi Jun-Shen,

    It depends on what you plan to test. With EVM, you can test the MDI ( Cable Side) interface completely. On MAC interface side, WoL can be tested as well. You need to use MDIO/MDC to configure DP83867 for magic packet type. Once it recieves,  it shall generate the  configured GPIO as signal or interrupt.

    For WoL, I recomend using DP83869.

    thanks, now it is more clear, so if we want to using the mdio for the configuration, is there some guidance and reference can be used. the EVM user guide is very simple, and not very clear. it seemed the address in default is zero, so is there a simple way to make the phy work with a mac? thanks for your support.

    EVM User guide refers to MDIO-USB tool. Please use that to configure the PHY.
