In a system with a USB3 Micro B connector to the host PC, I have the SSRX/SSTX from the TUSB1064 and the D+/D- lines straight from the USB TypeC connector (and protection circuitry) going to a USB3 Micro B connector. This does not appear to need the VBUS coming from the laptop host at the USB3 Micro B connector. Since we are not charging in that direction, can we leave VBUS unused?
Does anything in this setup need to be aware that the host PC is connected?
