Can I use the TUSB3410 EVM to jumper over to my TMDS181 device over I2C and run the EyeScan tool? Is there something special I need to do on the EVM to enable this, such as special firmware?
The TUSB3410UART EVM interfaces between USB and UART. To use the EVM for the TMDS181 eye scan tool, you need to update the firmware so it is interfacing between USB and I2C.
You can use the TUSB3x10 EEPROM burner to update the firmware. The tool is available at http://www.ti.com/product/TUSB3410/toolssoftware. Please accept my friendship request and I will send you the firmware.
