DP83867E: SGMII issue

Part Number: DP83867E

Hi,

There are DP83867E and KSZ9477 on My board, Via SGMII ,  KSZ9477  and DP83867E are connected .

Now I checked the power up voltage LED0\RX-CTRL\LED1,they are 0.45v,0.64v and 1.9v.

This means LED0 is in mode2, LED1 is in mode 4 and RX-ctrl is in mode 3.

But the problem is when i pluged a cat5 which connect PC and RJ45 from dp83867,  the widows show a red cross, which means there no connect.

Hope quickly reply

  • Hi Henry,

Please use MDIO/MDC of PHY to read the status register 0x0001 to confirm whether PHY link is up or not ?

    Geet

  • Hi,

Register 0x0005 indicates PHY is not recieving any signal from Link Partner. Please look in the hardware connectivity.

    Regards,

    Geet
