DS90UH949-Q1: TDR testing, difference impedance tolerance ?

Part Number: DS90UH949-Q1

Hi

We are doing TDR testing. May i know the acceptable tolerance for the test result ?

  • Hi PYTsai,

The tolerances listed for the part are available in Electrical Characteristics table of the Datasheet.  The IBIS model for the device is available here:

If more data is required than what is supplied in the datasheet and IBIS model, please let me know.

    Sincerely,
    Bryan Kahler

  • Hi Bryan,

Customer would like to use USB type C connector for FPD LINK. They would like to know the TDR tolerance requirement at the connector side.

Is it correct the differential impedance of the connector in the range 80 ~ 100 ohm is OK ?

  • Hi PYTsai,

To minimize any common mode noise generation the TX PCB interconnect, the interconnecting media, the RX PCB interconnect, and the termination should all match (within 10%) in characteristic impedance (differential mode).

An Application Report on LVDS Design-In guidelines may be found here:

If more information is required for the channel spec, please send me an e-mail as it requires an NDA.

    Sincerely,
    Bryan Kahler
