TPS65988: Universal I2C?

Hello,

Are the I2C registers customizable to be used with any I2C enabled device? My customer wants to use the TPS65988 to communicate witha device from another manufacturer over I2C. Having trouble finding a way to modify the I2C initialized registers to communicate with that device. Is it possible to do through the GUI?

Hello Michael,

Yes, the TPS65988 can act as a I2C master to slave devices. However, it only blindly writes to the downstream device. Meaning I2C IRQ from the slave will not be an option, and the TPS65988 does not read registers from the slave, only writes to them.
