TPS65987D: TPS65987D Source charging compatibility with Google's Chrome Book

Hi ,

We have designed a charger using TPS65987D,but have the compatibility problems with chrome book.

(1)The negotiation process last for several times, shows in the following picture, Channel 1 = VBUS, Channel 2 = CC line. Seems like something wrong caused CC drop after the voltage trying to rise up.

(2) If we are lucky, with a little chance, the negotiation process succeed.

Hi,

Looks like 5V->20V transition is failing. I would like to know what is happening at PD protocol level. Please share PD trace captured during the failure.

May I know FW and GUI version that you are using. Please share PD FW log as well.

Hi,

I don't see an issue at protocol layer. I can see PS_RDY from the SRC and GoodCRC in response from Snk.

From the scope trace Vbus is ramping upto 20V but falling to 0V in the middle. Did you get a chance to look at PD FW log that i requested in the previous post?
