DS90UB954-Q1: 2 lane operation output

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UB953-Q1

Hi team,

Now a design needs ds90ub954, could you help me to double check whether it is OK:

The application is as follows:

Paired with a DS90UB953-Q1 serializer, the DS90UB954-Q1 receives data from two imagers through an FPD-Link III interface, and divided into two CSI output to D845 chip for processing.

Question:

can the CSI interface of 954 be configured into two channels and sent out respectively?

1. Camera 1 is equipped with ds90ub954 CLK0_N/ P, CSI_D0_N/P, CSI_D1_N/P output

2. Camera 2 is equipped with ds90ub954 CLK1_N/P, CSI_D2_N/P, CSI _D3_N/P output

  • Hello Gene,

No this can not be supported by 954. For 954's 2x2 lane CSI-2 output mode the 2x2 lanes are replicas of each-other. In other words the same camera data which is forwarded to CSI0 would be forwarded to CSI1.

What you can do is forward both cameras on the same CSI-2 port using interleaved virtual channels

    Best Regards,

    Casey
