Hello,
Per the reference schematic for the DS92LV18 dev board, I terminated the DIN inputs with 50 Ohms to GND. I did the same with the ROUT, but saw that the output voltage was only about half the expected output (measuring a peak output close to 1.5V). I removed the 50 Ohm resistor and the voltage at ROUT is at 3.28V (from 3V3 rail) so now it is okay. My question is simply this - is any termination required on ROUT for signal integrity to be maintained? Output signal rates will be at a maximum of 10MHZ (using this to transmit SPI among other lower frequency things) and the ROUTs go directly to Intel FPGA pins.
Also, what is the consequence of removing the termination on DIN? Are those proper values at 50 Ohms?
Thank you,
Jamie
