Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DP83822I, , TLK110
Hi Sir,
I have gone through the datasheets and evaluation boards of AM335x ICE board for making a solution for HSP-PRP protocol and the hardware required in detail. I couldn't find any reference circuits to integrate both AM3359 with DP83822I. After reading all the available information provided I completed my design and here I have some doubts to clear. So please verify the schematics provided below and give your valuable feedback.
- All the signals in the left side of DP83822I are directly connected to the processor pins
- 24th pin of DP83822 is used as SPEED DETECTION and the same signal is terminated to the V2 and U18 respectively since we are using dual channel Ethernet. We also need to connect the fiber transceiver and the fiber detection is done through the same 24th pin of DP83822. So can you tell me is there any protection circuit required since the pin is directly connecting to the processor pin? Or the connection logic need to change or not?
- As per my understanding the boot starp pins are used to select the different modes by providing different resistor dividers in the dedicated pins like COL,RXD0, RXD1 etc... So the voltage is sensed by the pins will identify which mode is used? Since the resistors are constant how different modes can be selected? If i need to change the mode from 1 to 2 then I need to work on the resistor values every time. SO is there any other perfect method to do the same? Without using strap resistor can I change the modes frequently by using registers? and if yes please share the documents which help me for the same.
- For HSR-PRP protocol is there any hardware requirements or peripheral requirements we need to consider like the number of LEDs, SPI, I2C etc., please share any documents to understand the same.
I have gone through the design file of ICE board AM335X in that TLK110 chip is used and in that fiber detection is not capable.
Hope I will get a proper response ASAP.
Thanks in Advance
