Can I use such a chain to increase the length of the cable FPD-link III.

    Hello,

    For 953 + 954/960 applications this can be done. It would not be suitable for all FPD-Link parts but since 953/954/960 for example use fixed frequency FPD-Link communications which are not derived from the input data clock, they will not accumulate jitter so this topology is supported.

    Thanks for the info.

    Do I understand correctly that all 953 should work in Non-Synchronous Internal Mode?

    Can I count on a stable throughput of 50 MHz * 80 = 4 Gbps in this case?

    Hello, 

    Yes non-synchronous mode with internal clock is a supported mode for 953 @ 4Gbps forward channel rate.
