HD3SS3220: VDD5 without VCC33

Part Number: HD3SS3220

Hi, we have an application where the device is in DFP mode. VDD5 is always present, but VCC33 can be turned off. Is this a safe state (though not operational of course), or do we need to turn off the VDD5 as well to be safe?
