TRS3238: May we have part can competitive with MAX3218?

Hi Sir 

I use cross reference to search MAX3218 replace part. but TI web is show TRS3238. i also use parameter to search. but i find MAX3318 may much closed.

but i am not sure if it cam full replace MAX3218. may you pls advise me if you having other suggestion?

    Hi Bogey,

    I agree that MAX3318 or TRS3318E would be closer matches due to their lower-voltage VCC support.  If you needed to operate down to VCC = 1.8 V, I would recommend TRS3122E.  It is also a 2 TX / 2 RX transceiver and comes in a small QFN package with integrated ESD protection and a charge-tripler circuit capable of generating RS-232-compliant output levels from a low VCC supply.
