DS90UB941AS-Q1: About DSI Disable

Part Number: DS90UB941AS-Q1

Hi Team,

Datasheet suggests DSI inputs be disabled as default strap option. Could you please explain the reason for that or point me to relevant resource?

After configuring DSI configuration, I think we still need to enable DSI. Do we do that by programming register? In that case, will the HW strap be neglected?

Thanks!

Roy

  • Hello Roy,

It is recommended to disable DSI via strap, that way any relevant DSI configuration (like lane count, polarity, TSKIP_CNT, splitting configuration, etc.) can be programmed into the device before the DSI receiver is enabled. To enable the DSI receiver after startup set register 0x01[3] = 0 which overrides the strap.

    Best Regards,

    Casey
