TFP401: 480*272 support with SC7283

Hi all,

My customer want to use Raspberry Pi structure to build up their product. They want to use SC7283 to drive panel and need a DVI/HDMI input source. Can they use TFP401 as the TMDS RX? Can TFP401 support 8~12Mhz DCLK which SC7283 need? Thanks for your response.

Hi Gary,

No, the TFP401 does not support frequencies that low.

Hi I.K,

Customer use Raspberry Pi 's HDMI output with setting DCLK= 9MHZ, and their panel is ok to display through TFP401 in their test. Due to this is overspec condition, is there any side issue in this working condition? (maybe can't guarantee every connection or...?)

Hi Gary,

Yes, we cannot guarantee every connection with 9MHz. That one panel may be fine but they could see flickering on different panels. We also will not provide support for any issues they may face with their system since they are using the device outside of the limits specified in the datasheet.
