DS90UB954-Q1: DS90UB954 0x75\0x76 register(LINE_LEN_1\LINE_LEN_0) error

Hi team,

We are using DS90UB954 to deserialize DS90UB933, DS90UB933 receive data format is YUV422 8Bit(UYVY). Now both Lock and Pass of DS90UB954 are high level, 0x5b register(SER_ID ) can also read to 0xB0,but 0x75\0x76 register(LINE_LEN_1\LINE_LEN_0) different from actual.Why does this happen？

It is known that 933 works fine on other platforms.

Our configuration for 954 is as follows：

MODE PIN:1.8V

0x33, 0x01

0x0C, 0x81

0x4C, 0x01

0x20,0x20

Do we need to do other configuration to decode normally？

Hi Alec,

That is as expected because register 0x75 and 0x76 read the resolution in 8-bit data type instead of what is being transmitted. What you have to do is convert the values. For example, if I was transmitting 1920 in YUV422 8-bit (16bits/pixel) then register 0x75 and 0x76 will equal 3840. This is because (3840 x 8bit) / 16bit = 1920.

Hi Mandeep,

933 input resolution is 1280*720,but register 0x75 and 0x76 equal 3200. (3200 * 8bit)/16bit = 1600, still not equal to 1280. And register 0x73 and 0x74 equal 719, is that right？

Hi Alec,

Are you sure you are using YUV422 8 bit and not 10Bit? because that would mean 20bits/pixel. In that case, 3200*8/20 = 1280. In terms of 719, I'm not sure as to why a single line is missing. Is the last line embedded data or something? It may not be getting detected by the register.
