make sure EN pin to high, Mode is floating.

replace C3 C4 C5 C6 to 330nf.

yes, TUSB1002A can replace TUSB1002. A version fixed some bugs in no -A version.

To setup EQ and CFG, pls look at section 8.2 in datasheet. If you still have question, let's discuss in email.
