Hi Gary,

I am looking into this. So, your configuration seems to be DFP only. I can see that option "Process Swap to UFP" is unchecked in 0x29 register.

Is my understanding correct?

I will experiment with my setup and share my observations.

Is this an existing design or a new design? If it is a new design, I would recommend using the newer TPS65987DDH or TPS65988DDH part.

1. Yes. Customer need DFP only and power source source/sink as .... NB.

2. We had ever suggested customer to design 987, but they like 982...

I don't see anything abnormal. I tried it on a setup and I see the reject coming from the device on the I2C line when we send out a DR_Swap.

Are you seeing the "reject" from the device at the I2C command level or at the PD communication level?

Can you share the PD logs for this?

Since this is a very old device, let me confirm the behavior related to your use case.

Hi Kedar,

 I try to clear dead battery flag and resend DR swap to UFP, to external device, than our device can enter alt mode. Do you think dead_battery  status reject DR SWAP? And can we clear the flag by using "High edge occurring on a GPIO configured with BARREL_JACK_EVENT" ?
