DS90UB960-Q1: Camera frame rate decrease half by OV10635-DS90UB913->DS90UB960-TDA2Px

Hi,

I use DS90UB960 to receive image from OV10635-DS90UB913(resolution 1280x720,30fps), and TDA2Px receive image from DS90UB960.

Then I found tda2px receive frame rate is half of camera real frame rate. TDA2Px receive 15fps,but camera real frame rate is 30fps.

I dump ds90ub960's regs.

I check the LOCK reg 0x4d is 0x13. It's locked.

I check the frame sync reg 0x18 is 0x00,DS90UB960 frame sync function is disabled.

I check the resolution reg 0x73-0x76, it's match of camera resolution.

DS90UB960 csi output clock is 800Mbps,it 's match of tda2px csi rate.

It seems it's all good.I have no idea why tda2px receive frame rate is half of real camera frame rate.

Please help me solve this problem.Thanks.

Hello Wall-E,

How do you meake sure that the Image sensor outputs 30FPS? Please check your initializations file of the imager.

The SER/DES can't change the frame rate.

I can confirm the initialzation is right. Because the same setting pair with ds90ub914 is OK (Platform is nvidia jetson tx2).

Hello Wall,

in the other thread is something different. There they have changed the BC data rate to the half which leads also to changing the Forward channel rate to the half while they are using the synchruonous mode.

But here you are not using the synchrunous mode, and your BC settings (reg 0x58= 0x58) is correct as well.

Hi Hamzeh,

Could it be the cause of tda2px? May be the tda2px's MIPI CSI2 timing doesn't compatible of DS90UB960 ?
