Hello,
Where can I find IOCC in the Application Customization GUI? Is IOCC the same thing as "Maximum Current" in the Transmit Source Capabilities tab?
Thanks,
Michael

Hi,
No, its peak current field in the GUI (Reg 0x32).
Tnx

Hi Prajith,
My customer has a 20V PDO set to a peak current of 1.35A, but in testing the load is detaching itself at ~1.2A. Any idea why this might be happening? The IOCC table in the datasheet starts at about 1.2A so that's why I thought that might be the issue. Does peak current need to be set higher than 100%?
Thanks,
Michael
Actually I think I figured it out, looks like the IOCC is actually selectable and because 1.26A is the closest to 1.35A, that's what it is defaulting to. Is this correct?
Hi Michael,
OCP values are discrete and the maximum current you configured falls in the first row of IOCC (1.140 1.267 1.393) with Typical value 1.26A. Thats why OCP occurred at 1.26A.
Peak current is a % of maximum current allowed at a predefined duty duty cycle (total time 20ms). Peak current is not DC current. Please check PD "spec 6.4.1.2.2.7 peak current".
We have a very detailed application note on Power path protection. This would be helpful for you
Please click "This resolved my issue" button if I answered your query.
Thanks
