DP83869HM: DP83869HM as a serdes for 1000BASE-T

Hi team,

Customer is considering to use DP83869HM as a SERDES for 1000BASE-T.

Is it possible to relay 1000BASE-T between two DP83869HM without fiber transceiver?

Two DP83869 is going to connect with co-axiial cable with AC-coupling. The system under consideration is like below.

1000BASE-T system - 4 lines (1000BASE-T) - DP83869HM - 2 lines - DP83869HM -4 lines (1000BASE-T) - 1000BASE-T system

Also, Cusomer is considering to use DP83867 for the same purpose. The system is like below.

Is it possible to communicate between DP83867 with AC-coupling by SGMII(4wires)?

1000BASE-T system - 4 lines (1000BASE-T) - DP83867 - 4 lines - DP83867 -4 lines (1000BASE-T) - 1000BASE-T system

Hello Saito,

What you are describing is possible. I would like to clarify the connections between DP83869 and DP83867 devices.

The connection needed between DP83869 SGMII interfaces would need to be 2 pairs of length matched coaxial cables. The same goes for the DP83867.
